harmony

poetic realism

and

subjective reality

My latest film Harmony is the story of how people read one another from  surface impressions and how cursory interpretations  limit our ability to know others beyond a superficial reading.

Aldous, the host of the cable design program Design for Living, is quick to judge everything in people: shoes, clothes, taste in music and speech for starters.  His disdain for trendy designers and what he sees as the pervasiveness of mediocrity in all forms translates to professional self loathing.  His current behavior has severely limited his ability to connect with others and is also wearing thin with the cable network executives.

By chance, Aldous meets Harmony, and through their continued dialogue at chance meetings, Aldous is transformed–if just a wee bit.
